i didn’t know $17k is so big until i doxxed it and then people hyped it.

i honestly don’t have up to 2x of this in crypto atm but my mindset of “rich” is 100s to millions of dollars and that’s where my head is.

not saying $17k is poor though ✌️

The US dollar has been strengthening recently.

It's breaking above its highest level in the past year.

Why is this happening?

Because of the recent FOMC, with the Fed sounding even more hawkish.

Let me explain.

Following its policy review, the Fed is persistent in maintaining its target rate of 2%.

They also updated projections showing that nine Fed officials expect borrowing costs to rise before the end of the year to combat persistent inflation.

This shift in outlook caused short-term US Treasury yields to climb, making dollar-denominated assets more attractive to global investors.

That's why the US dollar is rising, and will most likely continue to appreciate, just like in the 2022 rate hiking cycle.

On the contrary, risky assets against the USD might get pressured, namely the S&P 500 and $BTC, exactly what we saw back in 2022.
