    The crypto space has an action called “burn”, which permanently reduces the total token supply to create scarcity. BNB does this each quarter. In mid‑October 2017, @cz_binance personally carried out the first burn, destroying BNB worth $7 million. The whole process was so simple it felt surreal. The team quickly sent a confirmation: the burn was successfully completed. Later CZ issued a public announcement detailing the burn’s specifics and rationale. Discussions on social media about this burn exploded, and everyone could see everything on‑chain with their own eyes.
