    No amount of treaties or standards can solve the trust problem in cross-border trade. Trust between countries can't be negotiated. It has to be built into the infrastructure. That's what a permissionless global single source of truth actually means.

    One of the world's largest development banks (IDB) just sat down with Tony Blair They discussed the future of government modernization. In a IDB Invest blog about smart mining in Latin America this stood out: Blockchain and Digital Traceability. areas where $IOTA has been building for years through initiatives like TWIN (co-founded by Tony blair Institute) IDB Invest even points to Codelco in Chile. Using MineHub’s Waybridge platform to bring traceability, transparency and auditability to its refined copper business. So the region is not only rich in minerals. It is already moving toward digital proof for mineral supply chains. Now compare that to @salusplatform. Salus is a digital trade finance platform for critical minerals operating on IOTA. Its focus is stablecoin settlement, digital warehouse receipts, product origin data and blockchain-monitored mineral journeys. And here’s the Latin America connection: According to S&P Global, Salus has had discussions in Chile, Colombia and Peru. That’s the interesting overlap. IDB Invest describes the regional problem: Latin America needs transparent, trusted and investable critical minerals supply chains. Salus shows one possible IOTA-based answer: Make minerals easier to finance by proving origin, title, movement and trust digitally. This doesn't mean IDB is using IOTA but we can see partners overlapping

But on the government page for the Customs Financial Fairness Act, the German draft law to strengthen customs, combat money laundering, financial crime and illegal financial flows under the principle “Follow The Money”. 👀 📄 In the comments on the draft bill, the IOTA Foundation’s statement also appears, alongside banks, lawyers, associations and relevant institutions. That means: IOTA’s position was received by the Federal Ministry of Finance and published in the official legislative process. Not yet adopted.     $5.5T worth of tokenized assets by 2030. That’s @Citi’s base case. And after iota:native launched its Audit Trails framework, I realized something So the market expects early growth to come mostly from cleaner financial assets like: equities, treasuries and liquid collateral. Makes sense. Those are easier to tokenize. The harder part is tokenizing the trade process of the supply chain. I'm talking about shipments. Invoices, warehouse receipts... basically the whole trade process Because there, the token is not the hard part. Trust is. Why is tokenizing the end product not enough? @Reuters recently reported that IOSCO, basically the global securities regulator group, warned about a real tokenization problem: Investors may not always know if they own the underlying asset… or just a token representing it. That’s the RWA problem The token is visible. The real-world claim behind it needs proof. Maybe we’ve been trying to tokenize assets… when the bigger unlock is tokenizing trust. This is also
