2xnmore FA_Analyst OnChain_Analyst B45.21K @2xnmore$TAO is up 20% in 7 days. BTC is up 2%. Something just changed. For most of 2026, TAO moved like a classic crypto beta. BTC up, TAO up. BTC red, TAO red. The market priced decentralized AI as just another alt riding Bitcoin’s coattails. That story is getting harder to tell. Here is what correlation traders are not pricing in. 3,600 TAO per day, all the new supply post-halving. Half of what it was six months ago. 70% of circulating supply is staked. Not on exchanges. Not available. Reported $43 million in subnet revenue in Q1 2026. Not speculation. Actual AI services. Actual demand. 128 subnets building on the network right now. Grayscale filed for a spot TAO ETF. SEC decision expected by August. The U.S. government restricted centralized AI access last week. $2.87 billion rotated into decentralized AI tokens in seven days. TAO led the way. The decoupling from BTC does not get announced. It happens when TAO’s own demand engine outweighs Bitcoin’s gravity. That engine is being built right now while most people are still watching the BTC chart. The ones who understood this before the ETF decision will not need to explain themselves later. Save this before it moves.

2xnmore FA_Analyst OnChain_Analyst B45.21K @2xnmoreMost $TAO holders staking right now are trusting the wrong validators. Not because they are careless. Because nobody explained what the numbers on the Validators page actually mean. There is a tool inside Taostats that shows you exactly which validators are genuinely working and which ones are collecting your emissions without contributing anything to the network. It is free. It is live. And almost nobody is using it correctly. Here is exactly how to read it. Step 1: Understand what Dominance actually measures. Dominance is not popularity. It is not a ranking of which validator is best. It describes a validator's Stake Weight as a percentage of all validator stake weights combined across the network. Stake Weight is calculated as: root stake multiplied by 0.18, plus all alpha staked across subnets converted into TAO. Root stake is deliberately discounted at 18 percent of its face value. Alpha stake carries the full weight. This means a validator with deep subnet-level staking is structurally more

The TAO Daily D3.88K @taodaily_ioIf you missed last night's Novelty Search, here's the recap. Const invited Striker (a.k.a. Algod) on stage to debate Root Reborn. Mark Jeffrey moderated. Const: "TAO should behave like a bank of assets, not a token that auto-sells everything it makes." Algod: "Demand will come from subnets quality. Demand doesn't come from doing these weird technical changes." We wrote it up for everyone who couldn't sit through 1.5+ hours of audio 👇

SubConnect D996 @WeAreSubConnectThis is a very well-written and thoughtful analysis. Whether you agree or disagree with the conclusions, the concerns raised deserve serious consideration. $TAO is still early, and we understand the desire to remain agile. Rapid iteration has been one of the ecosystem's strengths. However, there is a difference between moving fast and making it difficult for businesses, subnet teams, and investors to plan. Today, many teams are building real products, hiring people, raising capital, and making long-term strategic decisions around the network. The current process around major chain updates is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate and, in our view, negatively impacts the investability of the ecosystem. Bittensor already has one of the most innovative incentive systems in crypto. The focus should be on creating the right incentives for subnet teams to build products, generate revenue and bring value into the network which TAOflow did in our opinion. Instead, an increasing amount of attention is bei

Punisher ττ FA_Analyst OnChain_Analyst B8.72K @CryptoZPunisherBittensor $TAO A few thoughts following the Root Reborn proposal. I'll take the time to listen to Novelty Search as soon as I can get a translation in my language, and I'll also read the messages from people like @AlgodTrading , whom I'd like to thank for participating in the discussion. First of all, a clear majority of the community no longer seems to agree with the many changes initiated by @const_reborn . We are aiming for decentralization, and my feeling is that Const wants to finish his work before that transition fully takes place. I genuinely believe he should consult the major stakeholders more often and take their feedback into account. The older I get, the more I appreciate simple and clear solutions. Humans have an unfortunate tendency to make simple things unnecessarily complicated. Here's a thought I've already shared before. Bittensor is an incentive network. TAO is not just a token; it is also a voting right. Unfortunately, that voting power is often poorly used, allowing bad actors to remain at the forefront. I don't think we can change human nature. People will always try to cheat, speculate, and exploit opportunities. We've all done it to some extent. What we can do, however, is design better incentives. My idea is simple: reward Root stakers for participating in the network. There are currently more than 5 million TAO sitting on Root. Imagine if the APY earned by Root stakers became proportional to the percentage of their wallet allocated to subnets. To receive the full reward, they would have to deploy a certain percentage of their TAO into dTAO. If 20%, 30%, or 40% of those dormant TAO started flowing into dTAO, we could enter a completely new era for Bittensor. On paper, the idea sounds simple. I have no idea whether it is technically feasible, but I do see one obvious challenge. The first question Root stakers would ask is: "Okay, but which subnets should we delegate to?" This is where the community needs to step in. We should have the courage to build a shared understanding of the ecosystem. The idea is straightforward: create two broad categories. The first would include serious projects: teams building real products, generating value, aligned with Bittensor's long-term vision, and genuinely contributing to the network. The second would include extractive subnets, ghost projects, empty promises, and those bringing little or no value to the ecosystem. We're constantly being given new tools to do our own research, but let's be honest: how many average investors truly have the time to analyze every single subnet? We need to be willing to identify and call out bad actors. Doing so could give many Root holders the confidence to finally allocate capital to subnets. Maybe my ideas are too simplistic. Maybe they're unrealistic or impossible to implement. At the end of the day, I'm like most people: I try to keep up with all the changes happening across the network, but it's becoming increasingly complex. If it's difficult for those of us who follow Bittensor every day, imagine how overwhelming it must be for someone who only checks in occasionally. That complexity is one of the reasons why millions of TAO remain parked on Root. I'd also be curious to understand who actually holds those Root positions. What percentage belongs to large holders versus smaller investors? Of course, multiple wallets can belong to the same entity, but having that broader view could help us better understand how to encourage each type of participant. These are simply my reflections, shared with knowledge that is far from matching the giga-brains building this ecosystem. In my ideal scenario, the months ahead would bring three things: products that millions of people can actually use, subnets generating real revenue, fresh external liquidity flowing into dTAO. If those three elements come together, I believe Bittensor will finally break out of its bubble. More people will pay attention to the network, more capital will be deployed, and the merit of those who are truly building will become increasingly difficult to ignore. I may be wrong. But perhaps the future of Bittensor isn't about making the system more complicated. Perhaps it's about aligning incentives well enough that doing the right thing becomes the easiest choice.

DeepFuckingValue (τ) FA_Analyst Tokenomics_Expert A3.31K @DFVTAOhi @const_reborn root reborn, this idea is too risky and the risks are bigger than the benefits. the protocol would benefit more from simplicity than added complexity... - let stakers choose subnets directly if they want. - test the model properly before deployment. - publish a clear roadmap so nobody is surprised by major changes. yuma's concern with root reborn is straightforward: it adds multiple new attack vectors, regulatory risks, and technical complexity, while most of the benefits could potentially be achieved through far simpler and safer mechanisms.

Yuma Founder Community_Lead A11.84K @YumaGroupThe following analysis is a byproduct of lack of process within the ecosystem that leaves business builders limited notice or ability to properly plan, assess risk, and execute. We are responding rapidly to the code we’ve seen thus far, in the forum where we see it being discussed, as it is unclear what the proposed release timelines are for the Root Reborn update. More than anything, we’d like to see a reliable, structured process for chain updates that includes time for industry feedback and relevant business planning.

Tao Outsider Influencer Trader S4.76K @TaoOutsiderA subnet in $TAO Bittensor is closer to a small AI company than a normal crypto token. It has a product thesis. It has workers. It has incentives. It has liquidity. It has holders. It has validators. It has communication quality. It has execution risk. The alpha token is only one part of the structure. That is why I don’t like reading subnets only through price. Price can move first. The real question is what sits behind the move. Who is building? Who is using it? Who is holding? Where is the demand coming from? It has demand? This is the kind of market that rewards people who read deeper than the chart.
